North Texas Giving Day-Sept 22

NTGD 2016_logo circle North Texas Giving Day 2016 is Thursday, September 22, from 6 AM Central – Midnight. When you make your donation here, not only does Housing Crisis Center earn extra funds, but we could be eligible for prizes! Our goal this year is $10,000 for our programs that help homeless and disabled veterans and newly homeless families with children. Your gift helps veterans like Micky, a former Marine, whose military career was cut short by a devastating accident; or Kelly, who survived a gunshot wound to the head that left her unable to work.

What makes Housing Crisis Center different is our programs to help people get back on their feet. We provide financial, employment, and empowerment coaching to help our clients conquer the issues that caused them to lose their homes. While some, like Kelly, will likely need supportive services for the rest of their lives, others are able to return to living useful and productive lives. Our programs have remarkable success: last year 85% of our program’s graduates were still safely housed after one year.

Did you know that our community raised more than $33 million for local charities on North Texas Giving Day last year? More than 2,000 North Texas charities participate in this once-a-year, online event. Mark your calendars for September 22 and don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, and Twitter!
